PK2
Paying utility bills whilst out of the country for a few months? Electricity, water, TOT phone bills. Most guys I ask about this have someone do it for them whilst they are away. My question is can it be done without a third party getting involved? Can either a deposit to cover the period be left with each utility company so they won't cut you off, or can a direct debit be set up with a bank? Which is easiest? dr_Pat_Pong
Your bills are monthly. Overpay ( pay in advance ) beyond the period you'll be away. Problem solved.

lopburi3
Bank debit from your savings account is the normal practice for a home owner but if you rent and may change it might not be the best thing to do. I have used account debit for 10 years with no errors and all but CAT were easy to set up. Overpay sounds good but who knows what will happen. They could issue a return check for the overpayment and then cut off service for non payment. If you have landlord could you have him pay with your money? If you own do the debit thing.
