Deck Erection.

Just about any builder who builds wooden houses can probably do what you want, if you can convey it to him. By deck I am guessing you are talking wooden deck on a existing house. Doubt if there are any Thai's who specialize in decks, as it is probably a slow market. You might review the forum on house building and look for the CM area where a wooden house was constructed. Contact that member for info.

The OP appears to have titled it in such a way to generate some humorous posts and the post that was deleted was very funny.

re footings, can you get treated wood to have it rot proofed here?

Donnyboy, the best way is to use concrete footings and steel (preferably stainless) feet. Quite a common practice back home but dont see it here very often.

I have contacted some western builders who say they will not do it because they have not been involved with the house construction. I guess it all comes down to money.

I was hoping to find a landscaper who can help, but no luck so far.

I am happy to use a local builder who I would supervise.

oh ok

ive done some decking and fencing before back home as a DIYer, and ive always wondered if they have treated wood here

i havent placed decking on concrete/steel before thou, ive used wood footings/posts

my old decking here (3 years old) fell to peices, as it wasnt the correct wood. It was replaced with some hardwood and so far it seems good.

You can all come around for a few coldies when the deck is erect.

We can talk about size, structure, sturdiness, probable longevity...

:)

So who has been on your deck since it has been erect?

Sorry wasn't trying to stretch it, seems it is growing out of proportion all by itself. :D

It would seem the OP isnt going to get much further info on this one, so closing.

lingnoi1977, pm me if you prefer to have the thread reopened for a bit longer.
