clockworkorange Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 (edited) Viewing the Nation's articles online is impossible these days. My browser always times out. It's as if they are connected to the Internet via a dial-up link. What's wrong with the Nation? Other publications that shall remain nameless are easy to connect to ... Tywais Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I just tried it from my DTAC EDGE connection from Chiang Mai and had no problems loading it.
KhunBENQ Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Had problems this morning (europe), only a logo displayed, no content. Now in the evening seems fixed.
apetley Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I have given up trying to view The Nation website since they have put up the frontpage advertising. For some reason they slow my browser(firefox) to a crawl, taking an age to load.
NamKAheng Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 The problem is not the Nation website or your provider, the culprit are the publicity on the web page that are coming from a other server like ads.adapterproject.com or unitus.sinergy-e.com. I don't know why but they are very slow to respond or they don't respond at all. Some days I am not able to have news from The Nation because of that. Had the same problem with Bangkok Post but it seems to be OK now.
cdnvic Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Try clearing your cache and any cookies from The Nation. Here's the link to their lite edition (no blinking and flashing stuff everywhere) http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/index_lite.php
SomTumTiger Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Consider the OP's oft mentioned stance that the Thai media is the government mouthpiece and nothing more, I wonder why he cares if it is accessible or not?
cdnvic Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Lets not drag the slagging off of each other into here please!
Changian Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 What's wrong with the Nation? Where to start . . . .
flying Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 What's wrong with the Nation? Where to start . . . . 2 True If not for Bum guns there would be a legit use for the Nation.
Garry9999 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Over an hour now, I've only managed to down load THE NATION
