All his and his family's funds should be seized to help rebuild the country he has tried so hard to tear apart.

Do you honestly think that there is anyone with any political power what so ever in Thailand today that would use Thaksin's seized Billions of Bahts to rebuild... the country? :)

Try "help rebuild their personal wallets" and you might be closer to the truth... :D

But I agree, it would be the right thing to do, if it could be done...

Can't they up the charges to "Treason", more fitting IMO for Mr T..

Add to that sedition (crimes against the state, such as attempts to destabilise the governemnt), and you could be looking at a public execution. Perhaps that might give others food for thought in any future decisions based upon bringing about the destruction of this country.

Isn't it amazing how these glorious leaders were so quick to hand themsleves over (into safe keeping) whilst their followers continued with the struggle that they (their leaders) had initiated. I am really quite saddened to see that Jatuporn is still not included in the list. He should have been stripped of his parliamentary privileges long ago so that he could be lumped in with the rest of these terrorists!

They who live by sword [should] die by the sword!

Now we're talking. Contrary to corruption charges, a lot of countries have the legal framework to arrest and extradite people wanted on terrorism charges. Thaksin can at least say bye bye to any first-world country for the foreseeable future - and maybe with a bit of luck see the inside of a jail cell very soon.

A burning jail no less

Rumor says the red shirts are moving out to many other parts of the country. I need to drive from Chonburi to Aranyapathet to clear my visa in the next couple of days. Is there a website that reveals whether or not some of the roads will be "safe" and also if the border crossing is open? I certainly don't need any problems from any group of people out there that may wish to do harm. Suggestions?

My wife said she read on FB that a 2000 man strong Seh Deang army is on the way to BKK to wreak havoc and kill soldiers.

Has anybody else seen this?

The police will stand idly by and watch and collect 100 baht from Motosai riders for not wearing a helmet.

Regarding post that old Mr. T. might get capped, I don't think it would help, but it could be likely.

I would not be averse to either.

I sincerely hope that the government has issued an international arrest warrant for the whole T clan.

So they took alot of his money, he still has alot of money. It seems to me if he would have turned himself in a couple of years back he would have served his 2 years(probably out in less time), gotten out, been able to live in thailand, make more money. He probably could have manipulated a greater following by doing his time, he would have shown strength. It just makes all the more sad that the red shirt followers were so manipulated and used-while he hangs out jet setting around the world hitting the major shopping districts . I am glad the government finally acted, they did a great job with what they were faced with. I also felt sadness at video of the people behind the barricades, most of them so manipulated into thinking that this "revolt" would lead to improvement of their lives. I think this is a small part of the bigger picture, the majority being manipulated by business and corporations. The financial meltdown occuring has not thrown one single banker or ceo out of their homes , or stopped them from shopping for purses in france.

You’re having a laugh aren’t you? Who’s going to arrest him and extradite him on Terrorist charges other than another third World Country.

You really are eluding yourself

Angry people, keep calm

Ask yourself, why are the posters angry? Because of this tyrannical 'terrorist' and his thugs holding the country to ransom, all for his personal gains, imo. We have every right to be angry, this would NEVER happen in the Western democratic world, i.e US/Europe etc. He is an egomaniac with his 'bleating' sheep-like followers who are painting Thailand in the worst possible light and doing damage that will take years to correct. The 'genuine' initial Seh daeng are even now against this and the thug-like escapades being portrayed.

As always, it is a few spoiling it for the majority. Please consider that there are 61M+ population in Thailand, these scum are are just a small minority and may they all get their just rewards in time. We have every right to be angry, we chose to live here, we are treated like sh*t by all Thai governments regardless, we have to jump through hoops to stay here, but we love the country and hate what it is becoming. Personally, I am seething, but what can I do? Voice my opinion that's all!!

Don't knock the Border Patrol police, they're every bit right up there as the Air Force crack division. You don't mess with either.

It would be a very easy task to capture him, if he took his private jet through Thai airspace again. Scramble three F-16s, one on either wing and one at the tail, follow those nice planes down to that secret US base that no one talks about anymore. Transfer him to the appropriate authority (some old guy, not much more than bones, with a big scythe) and let justice - without money - take its course.

Nah - never happen, they had that opportunity once.

I think you're clueless, not putting into consideration the seriousness with which terrorist charges are taken internationally. I see you have ten posts and have a virgin relationship with thailand, since you failed to share with us your valueable expertise, yet call us clueless.

If ones knowledge of Thailand is based on how many posts on TV we are all up the swanny!.

As for terrorist charges, well the UK has just allowed two wannabe suicide bombers to be allowed to stay in UK instead of being sent back to Pakistan.

Ooops, sorry not Thai related!.

Are all of you commenting completely clueless? You think any of your calls for "justice" etc are ever in a million years going to happen here? "Bring Thaksin to justice!" Man, you guys live in this country for years and yet know NOTHING!

Do you know something we don't ? :)

I doubt most countries will buy the terrorism charges against Khun T. I suspect things will remain the same for him regardless of what happens in thailand. I think even if Khun T was dead this mess will continue....

[/quote

they will nail him on terrorist charges like OBL, don't worry. The mess won't continue once the pockets of treason-ers are cleared.

You are right, those who were in the planning circle down to mob organizing on local levels will be hunted for years, justice will truly find them. They won't get another chance to stir up troubles again.

In some Thai media they reported the story that Natthawut's school teacher publicly asked him to stop his nonsense, but Natthawut only laughed at the old fool with these words: "I have now 100 miilion baht in my bank account."

Perhaps the Police should investigate this . Oops, sorry, the Police is the wrong address, they are only qualified to issue fines for not wearing helmets. So perhaps the DSI.
