Before we start, let's keep political comment out of this one or it will have to go in the bin :)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Not enough polls.

what about 'i support Pm Abhisit in the long term but think he should have acted quicker'

Or 'I support Pm Abhisit because he had NO help from the utterly useless police force who could have ended this on day three (the word police used VERY loosely)'

I see that - no political comments from the mod, landed on infertile soil. :)

THIS is NOT political comment. It is asking YOU the OP to include more polls as the ones you have, do not have enough..... ummm choices. :)

I really have a problem supporting Abhisit. He's a nice guy, generally very diplomatic, but it felt like he was quite ineffective during much of the situation. Of course, there was a lot going on behind the scenes that may explain his inaction earlier and what seems like an over-reaction later.

At some point in the future, I hope we find out the entire process he was going through.

As I mentioned, I have trouble supporting him, but I do respect him. He's still here and this was no doubt one of the most difficult situations any politician could ever face.

This whole situation has really highlighted just what the police are...corrupt traffic cops and nothing more.

If the incident doesn't involve someone crossing a double yellow line, or making a sneaky U turn then they want nothing to do with it.

It's laughable to see the youtube videos of red shirts burning town halls, and police standing nearby just watch...or actually directing traffic...lol

Is it actually the domestic policy in Thailand that police should take no action in such incidents? Or are these police officers in dereliction of their duties?

As for Abhisit you have to put his action in context. It may seem he was slow and ineffective...but keep in mind that when the yellow shirts took over the airport (with far fewer people) that it bought government down. Compared to that he's done quite well. Still crap by western standards of riot control.

I don't think Khun Abhisit have time enough to read TV, but i want to express my deepest gratitude to him for the job he's doing.

I wish him and his family some well deserved rest. :)

Big Thanks for Thaivisa too, and all the Great Expat Posters(you know who you are) that helped me not to despair in the darkest days of the crisis.

I hope Thailand, which i chose as my home, can recover quickly, and become a better country for the Thais and the Foreigners.

Peace & Love
