Farang go home.

This is a fight by Thai.

Farang should not get involved.

TRANSLATION

Could all foreigners go home.

This is a fight between Thais.

Foreigners should not get involved.

:)

....................................

Hasn't this gone on for far too long? 24 pages of posts of people's opinions!

Threats of violence, insults, and now racist postings by someone who obviously should be using a Thai language site and not just because they can't use the English language properly.

Are we changing anything by fuc_king about here? Any constructive comments available?

Thanks for correcting my English.

You are better than my ECC English teacher from South Africa.

I am indeed. You are very welcome.

However the point I was making was if you post a comment like that, you give the impression you don't want us 'Farang' in your country. If you were just asking for us not to get involved, then okay.

I'm going to bed now young lady (if that really is you in your profile photo) and as your teacher, I suggest you do the same. Good night.

Of course I am joking; everyone has the right to express their opinion. However, some expats or tourists of european origin seem to think that just because you are not a national of a country, if you live there you do not have a right to express your thoughts.

Also, if you go back far enough "Thais" didn't live in Thailand either, so from your point of view should all Thais get out of Thailand who can not prove that they are some how connected to the original inhabitants of the region?

My faith in you is restored! You probably wouldn't be surprised as to how many people think like your previous post and yes your right! You live in a country so you should have the right to express your opinions but beware of the consequences. "Of course I am joking" Many people on this forum would agree with your comments so I'm happy to know you were taking the piss.

Have a good night

Sometimes my sarcasm gets the best of me :)

Just wondering if you have any friends or family in another country, wonder if they would like to hear "hey, oriental, go home!" Just to let you know, a nastier word could be used akin to the context in which you used the word "falang."

Please remember your post and if you ever come to my country you will be reminded to take your own advice and keep your mouth shut.

Not quite asleep yet. Yes maybe, but it is entertaining, but apart from that, what is the point?

A Brit, tattoos, steroids, empty threats, throws tantrums, home in Sisaket and lives in Pattaya. I get the picture.

And yet, do I as a Brit, live in Pattaya, have a home in Isaan, and have tattoos, no.

Okay well yes I throw tantrums. :D

We Brits aren't all the same.

Huh? You see, the forums are primarily for venting, posturing, and idle chitchat that pass for entertainment. Think of this as a sewing circle of old biddies who cluck at one another and nod wisely or not.

Occasionally we do get some useful information amid the cackle, most often in the health and internet forums where the topics are technical matters of fact.

Now you may choose to participate or not in full awareness of the purpose of the gathering. :)

Sorry I thought TV was primarily for people to find out relevant information about, well let me see, Thailand, and the added bonus was people gossiping.

I would like to participate but it's late, so thank you all for the entertainment, the info and some quite crazy posts from some people.

Good night

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear....finally managed to catch up the end of this thread - it was moving that fast - and I'm sitting shaking my head in wonder. Incidentally, the man in question has been to see the police in Pattaya. I've seen the photographic evidence.

ECC? At least a hundred meanings to that acronym. Every Child Counts? English and Computer College?

So, in short, you believe every farang should go home? Including, presumably, the ECC(?) Teacher from South Africa. You do realise, of course, without any of us here, you would not be able to communicate with us in English - and would not be able to post here - or do you honestly attribute that to your Thai teachers? Perhaps, it may be in your interests to see what immigration and international free movement means globally and to any country (including those in the west) that doesn't want to be like North Korea? Perhaps, it may help you to grow as a person to understand that being part of a global ecconomy and part of the global community pays dividends and not being causes nothing but hardship. Perhaps, if you can understand such things, you may want to enlighten your brainwashed or braindead brethren. Or maybe you should just do your homework and go to bed ready junior school on Monday.

How so? Explain?

Since when have you all become so sensitive???????

Since when do you believe xenophobia and decrimination acceptable. Your lack of knowledge and understanding is evident in your post. Do you not think that perhaps we sometimes get a little fed up with morons from this country spouting off with meaningless drivel - of 'farang go home' - when you have no idea how much of a disaster that actually would be for your little country if we actually all did and took our companies, investment, education and know how with us. Perhaps sending all those Thais abroad back too - all those closed Thai restaurants and Thai students in our schools and universities. You have no idea and show it in spades. Though perhaps your handle is apt!

Idiot. He should try to do this in London after his jail term in Thailand!

Must be the old colonial thinking in his genes which made him believe that he has the right to join a political rally here and cause damage to public and private property.

I hope there is no double standard in his case.

Doubt it, the colonial thinking expats are on the yellow-shirts side and you'll find it's typically the left-wing fruit-nuts who jump to their wives tune on the whole red shirt thing.

He backed the wrong side and now is trying to squirm his way out of it.

You can bet that if the red-shirts were still on the rampage he'd be largin' it up and giving the big 'I am' talk.

JSixpack,

Excellent statement on the purpose of this forum.

Why do people get personal about it and even calling names and "shouting" in red bold letters. One thing

I learnt from this thread is knowing of the variety of expats - good ones, moderate ones, bad ones, and despicable ones. Like the old radio programme of Semprini with the introduction of music of - the old ones, the new ones and the neglected ones.

Kilgore Trout,

Great response and difficult for anyone to argue against your logic. Calling anyone to go home is indication of weakness of that individual in using his/her own rationale. The world is now getting to be borderless and citizens of the world have the right to give opinion on any country or individual, be it North Korea, Burma, China, Obama, Brown, Cameron or Abhisit. The culprit in this thread has the right to be on the red-shirt stage but not to the extent of crossing Thai law in "inciting" the crowd to frenzie to burn Central buildings.

The guy is a nob and it would be fun to take the piss out of him, but he probably doesnt deserve to be raped to death in a prison. However if he gets thrown out of Thailand he only has himself to blame

If he goes to prison he will probably get raped by his Red friends See if he is still fully supportive of the Red movement then

But then again he is such a <deleted> he may enjoy it :)

I think this guy was simply stating what the violent red leaders were saying on stage. His red Thai friends told him about it if he isn't fluent, and he told the camera what was going to happen. It wasn't a complete shock really. I think the legally damning thing for him is that he was participating in an illegal occupation, when foreigners aren't even allowed to protest at regular rallies in Thailand. I would like foreigners to be able to protest at legal rallies, but I don't make the Thai laws.

Get off this forum you pathetic slime.

This guy is living proof of the power of indoctrination. Sure, the so-called "red leaders" indoctrinated him, but who was it who indoctrinated (and paid) the leaders.

This is NOT a class war. It never was. It was a vile attempt by a vile man to destabilize Thailand in order to regain total control.

This Brit is a pawn. But he is still an enemy of the state. He has been brainwashed; he is now unstable; and he has become (potentially) a means of killing and destruction.

He must be caught. He must be tortured in order to find out what he knows. And then he must be killed.

Seems here that the unstable count just went up by a factor of 1.

While we are all attacking this English <deleted>

Everyone seems to have forgotten Mr Rambo <deleted> from Australia :)

Things have gone very quiet about him since his appearance on the Red stage

Has he disappeared ?

Was he escorted out of the country ? OR was he " dealt with " ? :D

Probably hiding in some quiet bar hoping nobody will recognise him

My sentiments exactly. It's truly staggering reading about the disproportionate and draconian punishment the hang'em-high-mob wants to see meted out to this guy who, whilst being a complete tool, has NOT been accused nor found guilty of any crimes (other than lacking some judgement). This medieval mindset of crime and punishment displayed by many of the posters on this and other forums makes the Sharia suddenly appear lax and benevolent by comparison. :)

Some people should clearly take a step back and take a look in the mirror, checking they haven't become what they are decrying. :D

here here. Whilst the guy in the vid is indeed a deluded muppet - some of the people on here have advocated torture, the death penalty without trial and cruel and unusual punishments which border on psychotic. There comments are far more worrying as the guy in the vids.

jeff admits here that he almost meeted out his own death penalty without trial

how about this comment?

‘I nearly killed someone at the ASEAN demo’

is he a danger to others?

i think so....

‘I nearly killed someone at the ASEAN demo’

Savage also admitted taking part in the UDD (United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship) demonstration in Pattaya in April 2009 when the ASEAN meeting had to be cancelled.

There were fierce battles outside the meeting of the Association of South East Asian Nations at the Royal Cliff Hotel and windows were smashed and the meeting had to be abandoned.

“I nearly killed someone there,” said Savage who is now in hiding with his Thai wife in Pattaya and says he may make a break either for the country or abroad.

Who in their life hasn't made a stupid threat of some kind? Even a silent threat in ones own mind without opening your mouth. There's a big difference between thought, the spoken word and action and that dude didn't act so why the hype? He's an idiot and if he really wants to set fire to something I'd be happy to give him my lighter in the full knowledge that the only thing he'd burn are his fingers!

didn't act?

he is seen in this video one year earlier , throwing stones at police and admits to near killing someone:

do you think a year later his bad behaviour will have improved or got worse ?

Those who step out of line in a small way must be given a slap on the wrist. This applies to speeding or parking in restricted areas.

I agree entirely, the corect punishment for 'shouting you mouth off like an idiot' which is a minor offence should probably be a fine of about 1000 Bt, maybe 2,000 Bt depending on how much he earns.

Repeating something you heard is not a serious crime unless it's something which comes under the lese majeste laws.

what about admitting to nearly killing one and throwing stones at police officers?

He should be deported in shackles and tried in the UK for aiding, abetting, and directly participating in terrorist acts in a foreign country that indirectly resulted in the deaths of 77 people and the injury of over 1,400 others. Someone should start a petition requesting the UK government to come pick up their garbage while at the same time we can send a message to other idiots that this behavior won't be tolerated by those of us in the foreign community who still have a few morals left, who care about our connection to Thailand, and who genuinely wish to see Thailand prosper. Send him home in shackles.
