In the last few days, I've been replying to posts but the system just jams up and refuses to send them i.e. that bar thingie at the bottom goes half way along its axis and then just stops. What's up. Is it with the system or is it with this particular computer (which is pretty fast otherwise as sending emails, etc.)?

Copy your post to notepad before you post it to be safe. Sometimes you just gotta learn the hard way!
