Great Job By The Thai Visa Team During The Crisis

Featured Replies

Just wanted to say what a brilliant job was done by the Thai Visa team with the daily updates on the Website, Flickr and Facebook. Also, the updates from members living in the trouble spots were a great help. Knowing what was going on helped to keep the stress levels down and being informed also helped us to plan school journeys and office closures and so keep family and friends safe.

Keep up the great work!

I second that. The read-only politic-free daily updates provided the best info, IMO.

Agreed. Sometimes crisis becomes opportunity, and the site has become even more important during this time.

I agree. A big thank you to all involved.

Great Job TV Team. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely agree :)

Me too, thank you all very much.

Yes thanks. I especially appreciated the read-only "Today" postings and not having to wade through the know-it-all responses and specious arguments.

You missed all my know-it-all responses and specious arguments? I'll PM them to you! :)

thanks thaivisa

You can also follow TV on twitter georgebkk

up to date info as it unfolds, a couple of times, i saw a tweet that the PM was speaking to CNN/BBC during this crisis and turned on the telly.

Good job.

I think we can all even forgive George for his unsubstantiated and alarmist ( but later rescinded ) 'Tesco Onnut is burning and the staff are being held hostage' tweet that may caused some panic amongst the Twittering masses.

+1 here.

I've always been a FB junkie, but georgebkk and the freelance journos helped demonstrate the true value of Twitter. I'm not sure I'll be using it much now, but Twitter was invaluable during the chaos.

A big thankyou from me, too. :)

Westerner.

We would like to acknowledge the many members who kept the information flowing and gave us local coverage like no other media outlet could. Their input was much appreciated by all. :D

:)

Yes, more thanks for the daily update threads which were very useful.

Fantastic Job of keeping us informed... Especially appreciated the "Read Only" format.....
