I'm supposed to be somewhere at 0430 tomorrow morning.

Some news outlets are saying that the curfew is 2300-0400, others are saying 2300-0500. Who is right?

Thanks :)

CRES to open roads for normal traffic; extend curfew from 23.00 hrs. to 0400 hrs. on 23-24 May 2010

On 23 May 2010, the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) issued an announcement to lift the prohibition earlier placed on the roads around the Ratchaprasong area to be effective from 24 May 2010 at 04.00 hrs onwards. These roads are:

1. Petchaburi Road from the expressway entrance to Ratchathevi Intersection;

2. Phyathai Road from Ratchathevi Intersection to Sam Yan Intersection;

3. Wireless Road from Wireless Intersection to the Junction with the expressway entrance on Petchaburi Road;

4. Roads within the perimeter set by 1. to 3. above and Rama IV Road;

5. Rajprarop Road from Pratunam Intersection to Makkasan Intersection;

6. Rama IV from Sam Yan Intersection to Soi Ngam Duphli Junction.

This came after the unlawful protests in the area around the Ratchaprasong Intersection had ended and the concerned authorities had cleared the area so that the roads could be safely open for traffic.

In addition, given the need to enable officers concerned to carry out their work in ensuring public security and safety, the CRES also decided to extend the curfew for two more days for the nights of 23 and 24 May 2010 but adjusted the time to between 23.00 hrs. to 04.00 hrs of the following day.

In this regard, the public is requested to remain indoors during the said period, unless otherwise permitted by the competent officials. They are also advised to have with them their identification cards, in case need arises. Those violating this regulation may be subject to punishment of a prison term of not exceeding two years or a fine of not exceeding 40,000 baht, or both, as stipulated under the Emergency Decree. Meanwhile, the CRES may specify further details and areas to prevent undue inconveniences to the general public.

The curfew is effective in provinces where the Emergency Decree is in effect, namely: Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathumthani, Nakhon Pathom, Ayutthaya, Chonburi (with the exception of Pattaya), Chiangmai, Chiangrai, Lampang, Nakhon Sawan, Nan, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Rachasima, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Nong Bua Lampoo, Mahasarakham, Roi-Et, Sakon Nakhon, Kalasin and Mukdahan.
