F4UCorsair
As my move to Chiang Mai draws closer, probably within the next few months, I'm looking for a saxophone teacher. I'm an intermediate player, but still need occasional lessons to improve technique and understanding. Does anybody have any idea where I might start looking? I'm sure there would be somebody there who teaches, but where? I tried a google search but nothing encouraging there. Thanks for any tips. JIM7
Try the music dept of Payab uni. Sure there is a thai ajarn there who could help you. Could also try Santi Music School, Soi 13 (?) Nimmanhaemin. Put free announcement in City Life mag. ( search in google) and try CMU. The fine arts dept might have someone there. Other music schools in town too. Depends on where you're going to live. I was there 16 yrs and loved it. Good luck.
F4UCorsair
Thanks guys, good starting information. I'll note both and chase them up when I arrive, still a few months away.
