Just came back from Citibank this morning.

Went asking question for my survey.

We had little chat with the manager and we talk bit of our personal profile.

After knowing that I am studying University of London (LSE External). No experience.

I guess he kind of interested and continue to chat ( slowly, is more like interviewing)

Later, he said he welcomes LSE External student from fresh graduate working in Citibank.

Saying he puts more priority to our graduate student than any other graduate of local institute.

Forecasting 2 or 3 years later, he said he can offer (in baht), between 28,000 and 36,000.

But his condition is he only accept 2:1 (at least second upper degree).

He give me his contact number and if interested may call him in future.

I think is a very nice offer, but I prefer work in Bangkok since I'm Thai.

What do you guys think? Worth? And, in Bangkok such offer is it possible for fresh graduate?

Pathetic salary. Way too low even for the LSE. I have a doctorate from Cambridge and work here (but not in banking). My starting salary was far higher. Even for a Thai citizen, that salary is far too low. If you like the job and conditions, stick out for 42k pm minimum as a starting salary, re-negotiable after 3 months successful probation.

Sorry, .. I am LSE (External) student, not LSE. It is different. But education and material are provided by LSE from London.

But thank you so much, really! Now I know how much I can get paid if I study in LSE, Warwick, Cambridge or Oxford.

See first, I might prefer transfer to LSE or Royal Holloway next year.

Future, I plan to study Msc Management in LSE. I wonder if tht's a good choice...

Any of those institutions will get you a higher salary than you have been offered already. The LSE (as a resident student) will also increase your salary expectations. Obviously I favour Cambridge, but the others are equally good places in which to study.

Andy. Different peoples idea of a decent living i suppose. I don't live in Bkk (just outside). I would need about 10 grand more than i earn now if i did. That would still be about 40 grand less than your 100 :)
