I'm working on some DIY projects that need some aluminum parts, but I haven't been able to find a place that would sell me in small quantities. For example I need 2mm thick aluminum sheet, 30x30 cm would be enough but on the place I went looking for they only sold the full 120x240 cm sheet.

Any suggestions?

Go to the area near Chinatown called Odeon (after a theater that used to be there. In one of the sois radiating off the Odeon circle is a shop dealing primarily in aluminum call Buay Kee. It is very well known and if you ask anyone around there they can surely direct you. It is not that far down the soi. Sorry I can't remember which one! They have off cuts and scrap pieces sitting in a corner. There are also loads of other shops in the area dealing with metal so I am sure you can find what you want in that area.

This is uncanny.

I had to get some stuff from the electronics district in Ban Moh so I walked from Hua Lamphong to there looking for a metal shop; I saw a couple but they didn't sell small quantities. On the way back I walked by another route and found the shop you mention (I think it's the same), very close to the big red Gate at the beginning of Yaowarat road.

Nice stock and variety, pretty good service too.
