Maybe Thailand can consider a Safe Surrender Law. It goes like this, a baby within 48 hours of birth and can be safely surrendered to any Fire Station, Police Station or hospital. The mother regardless of age is not questionned. It is tough being a single mother in any country. In many Asian countries single mothers face judgement and are stigmatized. This poor girl already faces a difficlut life and it just more difficult now with a new born to raise. I give her credit for leaving the baby at a temple and not in dumpster. She and what remains of her family will probably have to raise the chiild alone. In LOS can a mother sue for child support? I hope at least members of the community help and not judge her. -

Crime British Teen Claims Torture in Thailand During Georgia Court Hearing
Thai customs has a room full of suitcases confiscated from tourists, mainly Brits, who were caught trying to smuggle cannabis out of Thailand. Since it it not currently a serious offence in Thailand, they are either released without charge and minus the dope and luggage or get a modest fine. Unlucky for her and the British girl in Dubai they were caught there and not here. Still gotta be a bit intellectually challenged to take the risk of smuggling drugs, specially to countries like Georgia and Dubai where penalties are strict, prisons awful and the justice system dubious, Before legalisation the story was about Brits smuggling cigarettes back to the UK from duty free shops in the Mid East. -

Just noticed that the cost of 100gm Lindt dark chocolate has increased yet again. Now it's 249 baht. The taste of 85% cacao is great, but is it time to stop buying it? Well done to those who have said they make their own. -
