I just did my 90 report by mail for the first time.

I enclosed all the documents as required on their website. ie:

# Copy of all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the Kingdom or latest visa stamp)

# Copy of arrival/departure card TM.6 (front and back)

# Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any)

# Completely filled in and signed notification form TM.47

# Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.

# The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.

Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to

90 DAYS REGISTRATION,

IMMIGRATION DIVISION 1

120 MOO 3, CHAENGWATTANA ROAD,SOI 7,

LAKSI, BANGKOK. 10210

I read somewhere on Thaivisa that the 5 baht stamped addressed envelope should be 10 baht so I enclosed that amount.

Everything went fine and there were no problems. It took about 2 weeks.

The only thing that surprised me was a little hand written note saying "next time send only original TM47". and all the other photocopies were returned to me.

So my question now is: Is this a language mistake and they mean that they require the original TM47 and not a copy (I sent a copy) OR do they mean they don't need the other documents at all?

I think they mean that you don't send copies of your old 90 day reports, only the original of your current 90 day report slip, but do need to photo copies of all other documents.

Yes, you have to send the ORIGINAL TM.47 with your signature and the previous ORIGINAL Notification slip (if have)! Keep a copy for yourself if you want.

Copies of PP and TM.6 are always required but will be returned to you with the notificationslip.

If there has been no change in the PP you can use the same copy set again for the next report. I do this for most of the year.

And yes the postage is now 10Baht.

There is nothing on the back of my arrival/departure card to photocopy it is blank.

copy it anyway, mine is also blank.

I think they've started putting a copy of the entry stamp on the reverse of the TM.6 card some time ago.

Thanks now I just had everything put in the envelope, not sealed yet to send next week.. I would never have thought to copy a blank page.

I just did my 90 day report in Phuket Town, in and out in less than two minutes! No requirement to fill out a TM 47 or anything else just five very bored looking Immigration officers sat there facing an empty room, they didn't even look at my visa, just simply stamped the stapled reciept with a new date - on that note, Phuket has not required a TM47 from me for two quarters now. Maybe things are getting easier or perhaps they're all getting fed up with the lack of customers, either way it's good.

I left the country before the 90 days was due and yes immigration stamped the back of the TM6 card. So a copy was needed.

Ok . Thanks for the information.

It's nice of them to send the copies of PP back. Yes they can be used next time.

I realise now that I should have sent the original TM47 but I think at the time I was afraid it would be lost in the post or something. Of course I should keep a copy for myself .... just in case.
