Did anyone go to the Phuket Music Fest last night?

how was it?

Did it rain?

How were the DJs? Bands?

How much was the beer? What brands were available?

What time did it finish?

Would you recommend it?

Was it crowded?

any place to park?

I am torn between watching US-Ghana and going to it tonight so I need as much info as possible...do they show the football there?

Any info much appreciated...

hello,
me and my wife we have been to the music festival on friday night 25.05.2010.
After 2 hours of "pain", we had to go out quickly. We expected something better and better, but the better did not come.
Everything was presented in thai language, (which is the best to promote the intenational tourism in Phuket).
The electronic installations were of bad quality, up to an electric stop during 15 minutes.
For us, an music festival is a production of artists (with any style, ...) , except a machine producing noice.
How can you imagine to make a "festival" with DJ. We mean without any music instruments.
We think they take people for stupid animals, or that they wish to fail for the next years.
Anyway, we do not recommend it.

within a week in June there are 2 very different musicfestivals south of BKK.

Hua Hin Jazz was last weekend, very much live and not aimed at the 18-30 year youngs.

And this weekends event in Karon aiming at young people with DJs. TAT/Karon Kamnan did a good job in bringing young BKK tourists to Phuket this weekend, as they did last year.
