WHO: Vuvuela Syndrome is real

Governments must act swiftly to prevent hysteria, officials say

Geneva, Switzerland - World Health Organization officials urged governments on Wednesday to act swiftly to control the spread of Vuvuela Syndrome, warning that the world is in grave danger of a deadly pandemic triggered by the horns at The World Cup matches.

Vuvuela Syndrome is defined as a constant never ending Vuvuela humming in the affected's ears.

The illness has affected 45 people so far, in cases largely traced to watching too much World Cup action while consuming excessive amounts of alcohol, experts have warned the Vuvuela Syndrome could become far worse and become a global pandemic if people continue to watch The World Cup matches while drinking heavily.

"We at WHO believe that the world is now in the gravest possible danger of a pandemic," Dr. Shigeru Omi, the WHO's Western Pacific regional director, said Wednesday.

German Helmut Schmidt a sufferer of the syndrome is quoted " team Germany vil march on to become vorld champions and as a German, this syndrome is a small price to pay for the good of team Germany"

WHO has cautioned that more evidence is needed about how damaging the syndrome is to humans.

They seemed to start during the twenty/20 cricket but are now out in full force & yes pretty annoying. I just hope the rugby fans don't take to them but then again they are in a different class.
