He's lucky if he left in 1939. Before independence the Malay peninsula and Singapore were both ruled by Britain and there may not have been many Chinese, which as I understand it were imported as labour. Makes sense they were both regarded as Malaya. Singapore was basically just a big pile of mud till the British developed it as a major military base. When I was there in the 70s, most of the British bases were still occupied by the British, Australians and Kiwis. -

Obviously a misunderstanding of the ruling. I'm sure that the company did cease operations on the 25th May thus satisfying the ruling. Then started up again on the 26th of May. -

Another driver not paying attention and pays the ultimate price, wife loses a husband and daughter and now has a critically injured son to take care of... There is a solution but Thailand doesn't seem to want to take it .
