Leckyman
Hi all, i'm thinking of getting something new (to me) to tool around on. I remember the YZF 750 i had in the UK, it was great, light & powerful enough for my needs, ok around town & happy on the track too.. Now, i have never seen one here, does anyone know if there are any around? I know they're getting on a bit but the budget's not huge.. Cheers. thaicbr
You could try mocyc.com. but beware the green book issue. How much is your budget? When you budget remember the cost of repairs on an older imported bike. It can get huge. I know from painful experience. If you can afford it i would go for a Kawasaki er6n or the faired Ninja650 (er6f) 2nd hand around 200thou or new 247,000 up. But full warranty and cheap spares. Leckyman
Yeah, i know..., currently running a TDR & a CB-1 400 I usually buy spares from ebay UK & get them posted or walked through by a mate. The TDR's for sale, so if it goes i'll have about 150k. I'd rather have an inline 4 than a twin. Have been offered an old blade but i prefer Yam's

Kf6vci
Good advice - if you can somehow get another 80 k, you might want a new Er6-n. My own liter bike project is getting frightfully big and I realize I bit off more than I can chew. GPZ 1000 RX, now at a dealer in Chiang Mai. (I bought dozens of parts from a K&N air filter to complete brakes, shock, radiator, ...). An owner who can work on the bike would be better suited for such a project. Now I wonder if I should continue throwing money at it or offer it at an attractive price without a fancy paint job? That 60 k bike can quickly turn into a 100 k plus bike. BSJ
If you want one, go for it! Better to buy one and enjoy it than not and regret it later.
