Gmail And Msn

Featured Replies

I can't open Gmail or MSN at all. I just get a Connection Time Out each time .

I can open other web sites without any problems.

Anyone else have problems with these sites?

Me too. I've been having the same problem since yesterday evening. They are intermittently available though.

Yes, I noticed it started yesterday morning. I thought maybe I had a bad connection.

I'm on a TOT internet plan here in Bangkok using the TOT DNS server as my primary and Google Public DSN as my secondard.. No problem in opening up either one Gmail or MSN. And actually my speed over the last 3-4 days has increased. I have a Gmail account and have no problem doing a POP3 download or accessing via webmail.

I'm on True but don't think it is a DNS issue since I have the same problem with my mobile phone (AIS).

As mentioned above, both Gmail and Live Mail are intermittently available. No problem with other Google services though but I haven't been able to connect to Windows Update.

The OP, #2 and #3 posts didn't mention what ISP and/or DNS server they are usng. Could be ISP/DNS specific problem. No shortage of "what is causing my problem" when it comes to internet connections.

I'm on True too.

I can connect to other sites without problems although I cannot use my VPN. I have sent a log file to the VPN host and they claim they've never seen such a problem.

Maybe True are up to something or have problems with the international connection.

One could speculate that they (eg. CAT, TOT, Government and/or ISP's) are trying to sniff https traffic, and due to high encryption connections time out and popular services like gmail do not function.

This issue seems to have affected about 75% of Internet users in Thailand the past few days.

Sadly, there is nothing any one group of users can do. We simply have to wait it out.

Things seem to be back to normal this morning.

Yes I agree.

Seems things are back to normal today.

Have you seen any warnings about untrusted certificates?

Seems to happening again this evening. Problems with GMail (including Google Apps) and MSN accounts but not others.

Yahoo, AOL and my non-Google connected personal domains are all working fine.

I should add to the above that both POP3 and web access are affected with True but I seem to be getting Email updates on my AIS mobile phone as usual.
