Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to buy an electric-powered bicycle in Phuket? May be Big C, Tesco-Lotus of SuperSports, etc? What is the best price one can get for a decent one? thanks in advance for any lead.

Hi, yes it is correct that i am referring to the pedal electric type bike where one can switch on to electric-powered mode when tired or going uphill.

I was looking at these.The cheapest I saw was 14,000B...L A Bicycles. Have a look at their site....they have a range of battery bikes.....about 20-30 klm/hr and battery life for 30 KLm.Think I saw somw at Big C or Carrefore in CM.

Check out LA Bicycles in Phuket Town they've got a decent range. I was in Carrefour last week they also have some electric bicycles around 5000baht.

you will not get a decent electric bike for less than 35/40k probably alot more here in thailand, look at importing but be wary with customs, they will try the usual

When I lived in Chiang Mai, I tried out my friends electric bike that was a 15,000Baht one and it seemed real good but for that money you can get a good second hand Honda Wave
