So long as it's Thai gold you should be able to sell at any gold shop.

There is a Pawn shop in Phuket Town and Patong. In Phuket Town I think (?) it's just past the main police station. In Patong, near the Fire Station.

Ask a BG, they use the Gold Shops as a Pawn Shop/Bank regularly.

The gold shop will charge a lot more interest than the pawn shop. I guess about 3% per month compared with 1% per month at pawn shop. You might be able to borrow about 80% of the gold value at the gold shop, and a bit less at the pawn shop. Best you ask about and see what deal you get.
