ricklev Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I just spent a couple of days in Pattaya. You folks that live there are blessed with the best selection of breads in Thailand by far. There are a bunch of bakeries supplying all the supermarkets that obviously really care about putting out a good product. I can sort of get good bread in Bangkok, but I have to work at it and no single place has the kind of selection that the Farang supermarkets in Pattaya offer.
chickenslegs Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 And I thought people just came here for the poo ying (and Glitterman, of course)
AmericanInExile Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 And I thought people just came here for the poo ying (and Glitterman, of course) Another reason Pattaya rocks!
moo9 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Good breads? Ever been to Germany? But I agree that Pattaya has the best selection in Thailand and that's one of the reasons why I would not like to stay in Whateverburi! Cheers
thrilled Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 The more farangs there are in an area ,sometimes it's better.I'm surprised the prices aren't more expensive in Pattaya.
Jingthing Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 There is definitely some good food at good prices in Pattaya; some better and/or better value than Bangkok. Another reason why Pattaya is so very ... cool.
smedly Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 food in pattaya is generally more expensive than my home in the UK, unless of course you eat Asian then it's very cheap
AmericanInExile Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Good breads? Ever been to Germany? Does Nalkua count?

But, if you eat English food in England, then it's very cheap. PS - We should all support our local bakers. After all they knead the dough! I'll get my coat...
