Suphanburi

Featured Replies

Hi all

My g/f lives in Suphanburi with her family and invited me to spend some time there, unfortunately my job doesn't allow me to go right away but I wouldn't mind the idea to see some more of this country when the time comes up.

I searched in internet about what this area has to offer to a farang able to speak a very very poor thai but I didn't find much and I was wondering if anyone has ever been there or actually lives there and can give some feedback.

Any information, comments, pictures and jokes :o will be highly appreciated

Check out the 'Central Thailand' thread. Loads of stuff about Suphan in there.

I'm building in the northern part of Suphan outside Samchuk - very bucolic... :D

our house is in the southern part of the province. It's flat, featureless and agricultural. Not many falangs around...I believe that I'm the only one in our town.

But it's home...

For a first time visitor with experience in other provinces it may be surprising in the amount of infrastructure. Modern highways and lighting make it appear very well to do. This is one case where the politician did bring the bacon home and the results are visible. I have not spent any time there so can't help with what to do.

I will stick some more stuff in the Central Thailand Furum either tonight or tomorrow. I am really busy today with a very slow link.

There is a suprising lack of information on Suphan town on the web.

One thing to start, you will love the place if you like Fresh water prawns.

How far will you be from the City or Ampour Muang ?

I went to a resturant in supan buri about 2 weeks ago - its called luan thai (sic) and the food was very good at quite acceptable prices. A pretty setup also.
