Hello,

Quick question. I don't seem to be able to find a similar posting but apologies if a repeat post.

So I'm 24 and I'm British using a British passport.

I have a Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa, which entitles me to a 1 year stay on the basis I leave the country to renew the visa every 90 days.

I went last Monday (26/07/10) to Poy Pet, Cambodia to do this and paid all the typical fees. This is my 2nd time so I know the score.

However, on entering back to Thailand, it obviously wasn't noticed that I have this Visa and therefore I have only been given the 15 day visa on arrival rather than a 90 day visa stamp im entitled to.

Does anybody know what my options are here?

I don't really want to have to do another Visa run as it wasn't my fault, although I could've been more vigilant and checked it at the border rather than when I got home.

If you are sure that the only mistake made was putting the wrong stamp in your passport, the solution should be easy. Just go to the Immigration office in Chang Wattana. They have a special desk for making corrections to stamps entered into passports. You could explain your situation to the person at that desk. Good luck.

Go to your nearest immigration office they should correct for you, there are a few post about this but usually at airport.

I believe that from the Immigration officer's point of view it is up to the Visitor to write the Visa number on the white card as you enter Thailand. There is a space for it, and if you do that no mistakes should occur. Hopefully the local office will sort it out for you, but strictly speaking it was your fault in my humble opinion. I know because I have made the same mistake myself, and been 'told off' at the border; so luckily I avoided being in your situation. I never forget anymore. :)

Also -- if it should apply to you -- the 'Visa' No. requested on the TM 6 Arrival card is actually the 'Re-Entry Permit' No.

It has taken you 4 days to notice this fact? Like most of the posters on here I check my Passport as soon as I get back from the Immigration Officer, which I see you would have normally done.

Did you fill out the Arrival and Departure card correctly? If not, then it is your fault, however, all can be rectified by visiting CW. It might be a pain going to the Local Immigration but better than going on another

run.
