Feedback On High Speed Thai I Bought The High Speed Thai Program A Few Months Ago And Had A Bit Of A Hard Time Getting Myself Settled Down And Work

I bought the High Speed Thai program a few months ago and had a bit of a hard time getting myself settled down and working patiently to follow a system for learning Thai. I like things to be quick and easy. During this period I exchanged a few emails with Vincent, and received prompt responses to my questions. He helped me get back on track with my studies.

For each lesson, I start off with the Vocabulary section listening and reading vocabulary words. Then a section called Learning also has listening and reading available, but one of the things I really like is that there is a pause to allow for repetition of the sentence by the student, and there is a lot of repetition built in without having to continually interact. This one feature has really helped me to start to learn a lot of words and sentence structures

After that I do the reading section, in which I read the Thai with English translation available while listening to spoken Thai. This is kind of a force feeding session which sharpens the listening skills. After that there is a section called Speaking, which consists of more listening with built in pauses for repeating what I heard.

After reading over the instructions carefully and putting them to use, I realize that the course is well designed, with reinforcement exercises included as options.

I personally find it helps a lot to keep a checklist of the tasks I have completed as each lesson has a number of sections. I am now studying and reviewing a lot more systematically, and I can notice already that I can communicate a lot more effectively, albeit still haltingly, in Thai.

I sent Vincent an update today, and he requested that I share my experience on the forum, since he knows that a lot of his potential customers look here first for recommendations, as did I.

Good luck with Thai.

Has anybody else had any experience with the High Speed Thai Progarm?

I bought the HST course some time ago. I have been very disappointed with it. The videos used to generate interest in the course are excellent but so far I haven't found any similar material in the course. PDF files can have embedded sound and videos but this feature has not been taken advantage of. Separate text and sound files is a very awkward method to use.

I think it is great, but it requires some personal dedication and motivation. There is a lot of material and if you are not a self starter you will struggle. My Thai is improving daily.
