This young lad Jake Bugg, 19 years old.

Lightning Bolt

Seen It All

Covering Johnny Cash (apologies for the intro and exit jingles of Oui FM)

And his latest release (on Youtube at least), Broken

Because you're only young once, and again much later, as I learnt from my dear old grandmother

Though in latter years, this might have reflected her views better - I hadn't realised that this was about the struggle for independence, rather than the struggle for freedom / against European imperialism; I had fondly imagined it to be an anti-war song. It;s funny how our grandparents shape our opinions....

It's a great day for some Steve Miller...

Bye for now....

I dare not say what I was listening too today. coffee1.gif

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I will. It was Toccata in Fuge. w00t.gif

I know I know, I am a bit of a rocker BUT sometimes stuff must be taken in for the old gray cells. smile.png

The Toy Dolls - Fiery Jack

I thought I'd posted this somewhere before, but apparently not...

I never had you marked down for a Geordie punk rocker. You'll be happy to know Warrington their won quarter-final last night.

But now for something completely different

I like the dancing very much

It's a different kind of dancing

Bach - Toccata und Fugue - Fuge - in d-Moll (Johann Sebastian Ba

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2_qXC95iXs

Best in German, though

Bach wipes the deck

With all the rest.

Ya might think Humble Pie is more than a bunch of drunkards and that they can actually play some music.

But then, take a bit of Bach,

And your original thinking about Humble Pie

Crumbles like the pastry they truly are.

Bruckner - Symphony No. 3 - Blomstedt / Deutsches Symph

Also better than Humble Pie.

For this, it is better not to rely on these teeny tiny tinny speakers I have.

Also, here on the YouTube, the sound quality seems lacking.

I thought we had a FLAC lying around some place.

Of course, if symphony listening is your big thing, then all this does not matter.

But for some of us, just a single violin will do.

Easier to know what to listen to, maybe.

I get confused by all those instruments.

It's not exactly Rumba, though, is it?

Talking about drinking, as we were earlier

Drinkin' Too Much

This is one that every bar and pub should play.

Sales of the hard stuff would double. Reverse something or other.

Just as the distilling companies know full well.

Good though.

memories, good memories of what used to be called the town and country club, Kentish town.

"memories, good memories of what used to be"

Also, memories such as those drug up by that Asian director who made it big in LA

The Ice Storm

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUNXYVC_yWY

One hellofa soundtrack, very haunting

And digs up the old memories like nothin.

A great mixture of East and West

Good for TV, I should think.

If you have not seen it

Better watch it.

just words, simple words, but god they don't half make a difference !
