Deep Purple is

Next To Bachliness!

We all love them.

I recall that everyone around the world used to love Deep Purple.

First time I heard it, I was somewhere in Yokohama.

When the Japanese kids played it, I didn't know what it was.

I was their age fresh from America.

They thought I was nuts.

Rightfully so.

America at its pinnacle

The final finale of fantasyland

Probably will never get better than that.

Fun to watch.

Can you imagine that this was a very low budget movie, which turned out to be one of biggest box office of it's time.

Kirsty MacColl A New England

Saw her where she used to be in HK before '97

I think it wass the APPLE or the BIG APPLE club.

You know the place

All the Brits used to lie on the concrete just outside the door

When the sun came up like thunder.

I stepped over them

But only barely.

Aye well you can shove yer New England up yer Deep Fat Frier

We all have our dreams, and I don;t think that they should be derided based on where we work

SC

Wow, this is actually Great!

Has Stoneboy seen this?

...... (You know, Dylan imagined himself a serious poet, it is said that when he did visit a real poet, he was shunned by that real poet. Not surprising I believe. But who does not like Dylan's brass bed song?)

AND THAT Kristy McCole selection was dredged up by Thaddeus to help explain his two shooting stars, I guess.

ICE STORM SOUNDTRACK

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUNXYVC_yWY

SERIOUSLY where can one find this on YouTube?

Or someplace OTHER than a TORRENT

Don't mind watching ICE STORM again, masterpiece from Ang LEE

But, it would be nice to have the soundtrack too.

Well I am listening to one of the soundtrack inclusions from Zappa.

Yeah, you guessed it.

Dylan Thomas would have nothing to do with Dylan.

I like em both if they can't get along together, what's it to me?

Well maybe Dylan wasn't that old he actually could have met with Dylan.

I guess it might have been Allen.

A poet with a first name ending in "N", I am sure about.

Ah good old Mr Zimmerman, the man who ripped off Rabbie Burns.

Heres Dick paying homage,

Last night we had Deep Purple

Now we have Berry

But still, this does not Wooden Ships make.

Of course I am plenty old enough to remember this tune when it was on the radio.

I think.

Maybe that is my dementia kicking in again.

Sorry I'm not familiar with that phrase.

To be clear I have a server with + 230.000 songs, lost count the other day so have to start all over again, ranging from 60 years ago till a few years back. But this is the kind of music I'm listening as it is a generation which will never come back.

I hope you share my opinion

... it is a generation which will never come back.

I hope you share my opinion

That just seems spiteful

Sounds more like a blessing, lets ask Mr Soul himself, and no he doesnt hang around Suk soi 3 with the "brothers"

Check out them sideys, dont know if its Guy Martin or Amos Brealey.

Want some more of this hippy shit, check out this,

I have found that it is no longer possible to listen to most of it.

Some that was good, you can't really sit around and listen to it anymore.

So don't try if you don't want to.

If you stick with Blues, Jazz, then there is some real meat to sink your teeth into

Not the pablumsht you have singled out for us.

To each his own, though

I am no music snob.

I just know what I like

If it sounds good to me

I just play it on YouTube

Or I torrent download it

The older I get, the more feeble too

So I just find a radio station that I like which webcasts

And do not spend too much time

Fiddling around with the hippyshit

Once in a dog's age

Is plenty for me.

Quite agree, I no longer find I know what I like in my wardrobe, or like what I know is in my wardrobe,
