August 9, 201015 yr Skype is available through the Ubuntu Software Center. But, when I click install and enter my password installation starts, but then a message appears saying that it is not a trusted source. Clicking OK stops the installation and throws me back into the Install page. I am probably doing something wrong again, any ideas? Thanks in advance for anybody with ideas! Message reads: Requires Installation of Untrusted Packages The action would require the installation of packaged from not authenticated [sic!] sources. Edited August 9, 201015 yr by qualtrough
August 9, 201015 yr I don't use Ubuntu (have always built Skype from source), but if it's anything like say Nvidia's driver sometimes clicking the "OK" button is the same-same as clicking the "Cancel" button that most people would expect to see....i.e. try clicking the other button?
August 9, 201015 yr Author Ah, I think (hope) you may be right. I notice that the 'In Progress' icon is still twirling, so I will give it a few minutes to see what happens. Thanks!

August 10, 201015 yr Author Turns out the problem was that I already had Skype open and running! Sorry for the Newbie mistake. Up and running now, sound and video work fine, pleased.
