Smart Gym?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there anyone here heard or knew of this gym? or is a member of this gym? Care to offer some comments about the gym? Is it a new gym that replaces the one (Easy Gym) at the same location that shuts down last year according to what I found on the online news? How is the facility and service standard from a user's perspective? They have a website but it is in Thais so it isn't helpful to me. How much do you pay for using the gym (e.g. daily use rate or monthly rate?)?

Also, anyone know if there are other gyms (fitness club) of a decent standard within Phuket Town or within a 5-10mins driving distance from Phuket Town (say along the stretch of Bypass Road from Central Festival to Tesco Lotus) that are open to public (pay on a daily use rate) or member (short monthly membership)?

Thanks much.

You mean Smart Gym in Phuket Town opposite Expo? It is quite a nice Gym with good quality equipment. It is not very big but they squeeze in plenty of equipment. It is quiet during the day but gets busy in the evenings. It costs 180 baht a session or you can get memberships.

They are nothing to do with the Easy Fitness place that was near Central and closed when the owner did a runner.

The other very good Gym in Phuket Town is in the Royal Phuket City Hotel. I think it's called Asia Fitness or soemthing like that. You need to become a member there but it is nice and there is a good pool.
