Transit Visa Needed?

Hi,I will be flying to BKK from the UK and 2 hours later flying out to Malasia.

I will have to pass through passport control to get the Air Asia flight so will I need a Visa for Thailand.

It depends on if you are eligible for visa exempt entry or not. If you have a UK passport you will get a 30 day entry when you exit immigration. But two hours is cutting it rather close to do that/collect baggage and check-in for next flight but understand it is not crowded currently so if on time you may make it.

If I am visa Exempt will I still have to wait for any documentation to be prepared or just pass straight through on showing my passport?

You process the same as anyone else having a visa or visa exempt entry. You do not go to the visa on arrival section. Time can be from minutes to hours in line but recent reports speak of short waits currently.
