Stupid Or What

Featured Replies

Returning from Pattaya today on the 331 I witnessed the most bizzare of traffic incidents. I have often seen Motorcycles, pick-ups, maybe the odd bus or two deciding they had missed the turning and using the grass ditch central reservation to do a U turn. Most of the time with disasterous consequences, but this one takes the bisquit. A full length, articulated, container carrier, loaded, might I add, had tried to accomplish this feat. Even with the back end of the offending trailer bogged down in the bottom of the ditch, the remaining 4/5ths of this huge Juggernaut almost completely blocked both carriageways. There was barely enough room for a car to squeeze through using what remained of the hard shoulder. :o

As mental as it sounds nothing surprises me about what some thai drivers do in thailand.

Obviously you squeezed through!!! :o

Easy with the criticism.

It was my first day behind the wheel.

And I thought he was talking about me with a truck-load of buffalo.

Lampy, I hope you didn't burn the #2 breakfast on the way back.

Last time we drove down to Pattaya, there was a truck (not artic) parked in the central reservation ditch, parallel with the road. No tracks to show how he got there and the driver was wandering around looking a bit bemused and wondering how the he11 to get it back out of there... :D

It was gone by the time we came back the next day so he obviously worked it out. Maybe that central reservation is actually a truck-stop?! :o

Those flood channels in the middle of the roads are always full of various vehicles!

I think "Various Visitors" may be more accurate - it gives a wider scope :o
