BMA to reopen traffic on 2 flyovers this month

BANGKOK (NNT) -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is planning to reopen two intersection flyovers in Bangkok currently under repair within this month.

Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra clarified on Wednesday that the delay of the reopening of the Tha Phra flyover mainly resulted from its sinking, which required more time for reparation. As for the Khlong Tan flyover, which was damaged by the recent anti-government rally, renovation on its structure and road resurfacing are still needed.

The governor expected the Tha Phra flyover to be fully ready for service by 8 September and the Khlong Tan flyover by 25 September.

I would be holding the leaders of the Reds accountable for the damage and take it from their coffers. They have millions of Baht for some 'unknown' reason so they won't miss what was not theirs anyway! It stands to reason willful damage should be paid by the people who incited 'burn the city'. The 'city' has had enough inconvenience from this rabble. Apart from criminal charges they should also have their assets confiscated and sold of to reconstitute damage caused.
