One finds it rather ironic that the Chang Mai Red Shirts discriminate against gay men yet one of (ex) Thailands leading gay icons is there as their main rabble rouser, money and a lust for unbridled power motivates does it not.

These people are evil, they are motivated by the brothers 1-10 who implemented genocide in Cambodia in the not too long gone past.

If anyone is actually gullible enough to swallow the bait these evil brothers lay out they are indeed going to be in for a rude awakening if these creatures ever gain national power.

The red shirt bomb guys were recently caught at the casino...but the other red leaders were left OK (you can search for that thread from a month ago or so). And as you know, there is no love lost between Cambo and Thailand. Both sides have protected the others "bad boys" for some time...going back years.

Are they tied to the government? Thaksin for sure, but the others? Who knows. But for sure the red leaders on the run are in Cambodia. Isn't there a youtube video showing one doing karaoke in Siam Reap?

But isn't the Khmer Rouge a thing of the past? I know members of that previous group are still in power...but the genocide was many years ago. Right?

In staging the rally, organisers have outlined four demands - release political prisoners in custody since the 2006 power seizure, reform the judiciary to introduce trial by jury, retool the economy as a welfare state and close the income-disparity gap and institute a price guarantee for farm products.

At least they have come up with some real policy at last.

Previously it has just been 'bring back Thaksin'.

However they still have to learn to put them forward as "What we will do if we get to power" rather than demands

Those are just to make the rally sound nicer to the public, also paving the way for PTP at next election. The real agenda remains the previous "bring back Thaksin". Just like last time they say "we want democracy", it still boiled down to "bring back Thaksin".

Interestingly a huge amount of Thai people gave CM a miss at Songkhran giving a host of other places an economic boost while CM suffered. Maybe people are taking that advice

Our summer season was destroyed (about %40 of what it should have been) because of the political problems. I scraped by in hopes tourists would have forgotten about all this by winter and we could recoup some of our losses. When I saw one of my suppliers in the latest rally here in CM I mentioned to her that if the winter season is disrupted I along with many others would have to close our businesses. Which means she would lose a lot of her own customers and income. She looked dumbfounded. She never saw the cause and effect of her actions. I was the first person to inform her of how her own demonstrating would be her own demise..... Yikes!

Fugitive Red-Shirt Leader Reportedly Spotted Singing in Cambodian Hotel

Arisman Pongruangrong, a fugitive red-shirt leader, has reportedly been spotted in a hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

On August 10 at a Thailand-Cambodia border pass located in Aranyaprathet district in Sa Kaeo province, a large number of tourists and merchants continued to cross the border despite the ongoing diplomatic row stemming from the disputed Preah Vihear Temple.

Also, there is a widespread rumor in the area that Arisman Pongruangrong, a red-shirt leader wanted for terrorism charges, believed to have fled after the recent political unrest, has reportedly been spotted in a hotel in Siem Reap province of Cambodia. The Thai authorities are currently investigating the rumor.

The rumor is that Arisman was found singing inside a restaurant in the hotel for approximately 10 Thai tourists, whom the fugitive red-shirt leader also talked to for about 30 minutes before retiring to his room.

According to the Thai law enforcement officers' investigation into the rumor, the place where Arisman was supposedly spotted was Angkor Hotel, which is owned by a politician who is a close associate of Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia.

The hotel is also the place where the suspects in the attempted bombing at the Bhumjai Thai Party back in June were arrested by the Cambodian authorities.
