Please come if you can!

at the Hilton Arcadia Phuket Resort, at 333 Patak Road, Karon Beach,

Muang, Phuket, 83110, Thailand. Telephone: 76-396-433.

The following consular services will be available during our outreach

passports, and $105 or Baht 3,465 for a child's passport).

* Notarial Services and Certified Copies ($50.00 or Baht 1,650).

This includes income affidavits for retirees in Thailand.

applications, but the passports will have to be brought back to the

Embassy for final processing the next day. The passports will then have

to be picked up in person (or by a friend upon presentation of a letter

of authorization signed by the applicant) at the Embassy.

* Social security, VA, or other federal benefits question will be

limited, but we will try to provide forms and answers.

(Please bring exact change!)

Consular Reports of Birth cannot be processed during consular outreach

Although I am sure to get different answers what is the local consensus of people living in Phuket about how old an affidavit of income from the embassy be when satisfying the retirement extention of stay. I am new to Phuket and have done my extentions in Chiang Mai and Pattaya previously. Since the American services will be here on the 22nd and my yearly extention is due by January 10,2010 will an affidavit acquired then still be good in january. I realize that some folks claim to have used the same affidavit for several years, I believe these incidents to be flukes. Thanks for any insight about the local yearly hurdles:jap:

I have been told by a volunteer that the earnings was only good for thirty days. But I have also heard that they are good for 90 days. I would suggest talking to an immigration officer in Phuket in the second row that actually do the extensions. I forgot to ask last time, so I don't know what the real answer is. I go on the 21st for my 30 day checkin, hopefully I will remember to ask an immigration officer. The US consul staff doesn't know, as I have asked them before...

What you say is what I always believed also. I also agree with simply going directly to immigration and get it straight from the horses mouth. :Dave:
