Yes Everton were embarassingly pathetic.

And remember they were playing against basically a reserve youth Thailand team.

Comprising no doubt of part time players taking time off from their jobs as construction workers etc.

The tv commentators were making all sorts of excuses for the woeful Everton performance, such as the heat, jet-lag, climate change and so on.

In truth we should ask ourselfs how long will we want to waste time on the likes of Everton with there over-rated and over paid bunch of losers.

What is the betting that Everton will slump in the Champions League to some non-entities from Slobonia, and be in a relegation dog fight in the Premier League with the other non-runners such as Wigan and West Brom.

So good luck to Thailand.

Have to agree, Everton will be lucky to stay up this year, can't see one superstar in their team, and their goalkeeper is pushing 40.

However I reckon if they were playing Liverpool they would not have needed to win on penalties, they would have won in normal time.

I see troubled times ahead for Merseyside, and only Good times for us Southerners.

Too Bad Everton Lost....Well im sure its about the heat...But i think Nigel Martyn should have go for break during half time and let the younger golkeeper play....

Well one thing positive came out of it. David Beckham's penalty is not the worse ever seen now. If the goalie had dived the wrong way there were still doubts if Yobo's kick would have reached the goal. :o

Maybe another positive thing is if they were Thailands youngsters, we might be looking at a decent team in the years to come, if they get a decent coach. I for one was very impressed by some of their skills. They passed a bit too much in shooting positions, but my my, look what happened when they didn't pass but let rip.

<deleted> do u think? Everton played real? Did they play like this in Premiership? Did u see how Yobo purposely missed the penalty??? These matches are all fixed! :o

I think yeah maybe its fixed...Hehehehhe ..Ive seen Everton played in Englad but i can say they are playing a totally difference kind of game in Thailand....Maybe to avoid injuries coz they will be playing in the Champions league.....

As for Germany the reason the won is because all the players that played during that day is trying to impress Juegen Klinsman and to be selected for the World Cup Team....

I bet if Germany lost to Thailand then Many of the Germans players will be sacked including Klinssman...Thats why they are playing all out...DOnt you think ???

I remeber many years ago Thailand played Russia as a warm up to the World Cup qualifiers. Easily beat the Russians, who admittedly looked like they'd just come out of a Patpong bar. First game against Bangladesh at the National Stadium the following week they won 3-0. The press were claiming this was going to be the year that they qualified for the finals. Next game a few days later in the National Stadium they played Iran. It was men against boys and the 2-0 (I think) scoreline just didn't do justice to the dominance of the Iranians. I'm sure the Thai National manager knows just how far behind the likes of Iran, Saudi, Korea etc Thailand is within their regional.

Fixed match or not....it was a great goal!! and they were knocking the ball around nicely! Everton surely will have to play better in the CL qualifiers or they will not get there at all!

The 25 meter strike was a cracking goal...It was pure class...That tiny little boy really get Nigel Matyns offguard...

I dont know if any english scouts is wastching the game..but i can say that some of the boys can be playing in the nationwide legaue if they are in luck....Just like Juninho is is small but still play with the big boys...

But nowadays in the pro league its all about money..Commercial

I think if they let atleast 1 thai player to appear in their 1st team they will make millions of $$$ by selling merchandise....and tV right in Thailand

Just like they did with LI TIE...Selling Jersey... :D:D:o

maybe everton should have let the thai trio play at least 5 min in their premier league game....

And i think if Leeds united have this kind of idea they would not be in the financial debt by now...

I know a young Thai player, he might be about 19 or so now, cannot remember... When I played against him I think he was either on trial at pompey or in the yth set up. I knew him as Ronachai but don't know if that was his first/last or nickname, he was a good player, maybe he is one of many young stars from Thailand... When I played against him it was I think 3 or 4 years ago so obviously he was young but he had plenty of potential, and to be playing for quite a successful club, maybe he is one to look out for in the Thai national team sooner or later
