hi,

i've been to the thai consulate in antwerp to apply for a 3entry tourist visa but there i was also told that i can only get 1 entry . so now i have a tourist visa with only a single entry in my passport.i will be leaving to thailand in december for 35 days and after i go work in the middle east for my employer but then after my work i would like to go bach to thailand for another 42 days but the problem is : i dont have a visa anymore for that 2nd time i wanna go . is it possible to apply for a re-entry permit with a tourist visa before i leave to work or is this only possible for non-imm visas ? or can i just go to thailand the 2nd time without visa then i get 30 days and then extend my stay there ? but for how long i can extend my stay without a visa ? does anybody have experience with this or can help me out here ? thank a lot in advance .

1. You can buy a re-entry permit but you would have to return before the tourist visa 60 day stay expired to make use of it. They do not add anything to your original permitted to stay time.

2. You could obtain a new tourist visa during your travel/work and return using that. Almost any Consulate will issue a tourist visa.

3. If allowed 30 day visa exempt entry you could use that and make a trip to Vientiane or other Consulate for another tourist visa. But remember airline may want to see proof of a visa or onward travel within 30 days to allow boarding.

A re-entry permit only keeps your current permission to stay alive, it doesn't add any days or stops the clock from ticking. So unless you would return to Thailand within 3 weeks after leaving Thailand again it is no use.

Try to get a new tourist visa in the middle east.
