As I believe a director in a Thai Company cannot benefit from the Social Security system (Prakan Sangkhom) is there another choice

except for private insurance?

In other words: can a director in a Thai company have prakan sukhapaap?

After working for more than 10 years (and having social security) and now (as a director) not be able to benefit

anymore from prakan sangkhom, what happens to the 'pension'?

Or can I continue the scheme by paying 432 thb to the social security office?

You should be able to sign up and pay yourself.

I don't think the payment (432฿) covers retirement, just health coverage.

You need to sign up within 6 months of stopping payment through employment.

You should read through the soc sec benefits info. It explains about getting retirement benefits. You have several choices, assuming you qualify by age and years vested in the system. I've misplaced my info with a link, but you should be able to find the info either as a sticky here somewhere, or by googling it.

Thank you again for your input.

All I want is to pay myself for the health coverage service.

I'll let you know if this will work. I am not sure as this route is normally for people who don't work anymore.

Cheers.

You are eligible if not working,

or

working at a job not covered by social security.

Just be sure you sign yourself up within 6 months of losing coverage through employment.

If you pay at the soc sec office, they'll let you pay more than one month at a time. The banks I've dealt with would only do one month.
