Pc Cable - Hdmi To 'Display Port'

Featured Replies

All,

Wonder if anybody can help.

I have an HP laptop and the output is what is called a 'Display Port' - not an HDMI

I know from my searching that i can have a cable to convert from this to HDMI and then plug into my TV (which is what i want to do....)

But, believe it or not, i cannot find this in Pantip !!

Is there a good mail order site in bangkok for this or a good shop with loads of cables etc ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If your laptop is reasonably new the display port is a DVI connector.

There are shops at Pantip that sell DVI to HDMI adaptors, then you would need a regular HDMI cable to reach the TV.

Or, you may find a cable that is DVI on one end and HDMI on the other.

I advise finding photos of those two things on the Internet and take printouts with you to show around at Pantip.
