Is She Sincere Pt 2

Hi all,

Further to the gripping part 1 I now have a sequel for your reading pleasure!

I don't think I mentioned it in part 1 that I had sent her papers over for her to get a visa. This included a copy of my passport, a year's worth of payslips etc etc.

Well when she finally got back in contact with me, she told me she was now buying a house for about 4 mil. She wouldn't however explain how this was being paid for!! This automatically got my brain on overtime, especially when she said she wasn't going to go for a visa and that everything had changed!! Righto me thought, i'll have my payslips etc back. This she refused to do!! After a few sleepless nights, it dawned on me that there was too much coincidence and yes maybe I was paranoid that my papers were being put to ill use, so the very next day I was on TG911 straight to LOS!

Turned up at Nana and low and behold she was there. She then expected me to pay her 3000 bht bar bill (she was avin a larf)! Anyway, 6 days later and she's made no effort to give me back my papers which I was asking for every morning. So, I turned up at her apartment in Ekkamai, asked for the papers there and then. She replied "WHY DO YOU NEED THEM BACK? YOU GIVE TO ME ALREADY"

After a brief barny in which she couldn't understand that i'd only given them to her for the sake of a visa and now that she wasn't getting one there was no point in her having them, I left with papers!! Hoorah!

Came back to UK a few days later and within a week the house purchase was off and everything was back to normal. Lucky escape me thinks!!

Anyway, just like to thank everyone for there comments on the original thread, if it hadn't been for them, I would have still been acting like a love struck fool and probably a lot poorer for it!! :o

i love a story with a happy ending

although lucky me thinks

Be glad you found out the truth early without too much cost to yourself financially or emotionally but remember, not everyone is out to fleece you for all your worth & I'm sure, one day, you'll meet a goodun :o

Welcome!!! (always ready to talk sense) :o

That was a close shave then I thought oh no not another sucker

Anyone trusting any BG is riding a slippery slope, very slippery

Not again? :D Judge every person individually - dont lump every lady in as the same sort. :o

Nam Kao

You are generalising again and IMHO talking crap.

Advising someone not to trust a bar girl is some of the best advice for a newbie to Thailand - nothing wrong with that at all.

Let's qualify that....

Don't trust anyone until you've taken the time to know someone and have them earn your trust. Same behaviour practice one does in the west should be done in the east. Simple common sense!!! :o

I agree with this.

Although I do think it is a shame that the sensible course is not to be too trustfull too early.

Due to previous experiences (mine and my friends'), it took me 2 years before I could say that I really trust my lady.

But the good side of the coin is that now I do trust her, I appreciate that I am in a good, strong relationship. I'm not going to throw that away too easily. Ie, I am not sidetracked by the many obvious temptations in Thailand.

My advice to anyone wanting to settle down to a good life in Thailand is learn to speak enough Thai to be able to communicate reasonably well and don't live life like you are on permanent holiday. You will enjoy the Thai experience much more and you will have more chance of meeting a decent girl. (I don't mean decent in the moral sense, There are a lot of decent 'bargirls' around I'm sure)

If Khun Larry is not around I'll say it on his behalf.....

KNOW THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boredofengland, thanks for sharing the outcome with the rest of us. Good on ya for telling the whole story, and for standing up for yourself to her.

Unfortunately, this has fast become the same old BG vs non-BG thread we have closed a thousand times (not your fault.)

So, here goes 1001 :D
