Would have been interesting if they had included those 14 points and the progress in the article.

However when there isn't any reasonable progress there is also no reason to print anything.

For the 2310 radio,I assume that this is the radio network where motocyc taxis get a radio on which they can report events like accidents or foreigners working in their bar without work permit.

It would be nice if Point # 15 was an election pledge to reveal the whereabouts of his father, convicted murderer Somchai, who has been a fugitive of justice for quite some time.

Wow....interesting. It would be nice to see a list of the 14 items. One is the call center, which is up and running and we have used it several times. Worked quite nicely for us.

Wow....interesting.

Perhaps the mayor could answer the headline's question

The Nation - February 24, 2006

Where is Kamnan Poh?

The whereabouts of Chonburi godfather Somchai Kunplome was unknown yesterday after the Supreme Court postponed the reading of a verdict in a corruption case against him.

The court's decision came after his lawyer claimed he was sick and had been admitted to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.

However a Bumrungrad Hospital staff member told The Nation that Somchai, also known as Kamnan Poh, had not been admitted to the hospital.

The Supreme Court postponed the hearing to March 23. If it upholds the rulings of two lower courts, Somchai will face five years and four months in jail for masterminding corrupt land deals worth Bt93 million.

Somchai is also accused of hiring hit men to murder his business rival, Prayoon Sitichote, in 2003.

In 2004, Somchai was sentenced to 25 years in prison for this offence. A year later, the Appeals Court upheld the lower court's decision. The Supreme Court has yet to set a date for its ruling on the case.

Somchai is free on Bt20-million bail.

Epilogue to the above:

He never showed up and forfeited his 20 million baht bail imposed when he was allowed out AFTER being convicted of first degree murder and corruption and sentenced to a total of 30 years in prison.

Current whereabouts: Unknown
