Insurance For Used Big Motorbike For Rent

I have some used big motorbike and I want to rent them out.

(Motorbike are registered in my Thai wife's name.)

I am looking for suitable insurance for big motor bike rental.

If anyone has information please let me know.

I have asked one insurance broker and they said there is insurance

available only for new motor bike but not used motorbikes.

If there is no insurance available for used big motorbike rental,

I also would like to know some idea to go around with this matter.

Lots of companies rent out bikes in Thailand, do a Google search and try phoning them and asking them which company provides their insurance.

My advice to anyone is to avoid renting bikes under any circumstance. My opinion is that motorbikes of any capcity are uninsurable with any voluntary insurance policy, regardless of any vendor says. I've no evidence to substantiate that claim, it's just an opinion. I think bikes for rent will have basic compulsory insurance and most companies will keep a passport copy, deposit from a credit card and damage waiver deposit. That's the insurance policy.

Motorbike accidents involving tourists lead to unfair responsibility for repairs/replacement, and medical bills for the tourist and any other parties which are usually paid by the tourist or their travel insurance company. Some travel and health insurance policies only pay out a fraction of the sum insured if the insured is riding motorbikes as it's considered a risky activity.

Please say the agent you used as when I talked to Falcon direct the said that was nonsense as they do not insure big bikes for rental
