I am looking at needing 6 crowns, a tooth implant and a few cavities to be filled. The quote to have the work done in the States is outrageous and I would like to go to Thailand to have the work done. I will be in Bangkok on November 14th for about a week for unrelated reasons and while I am there I would like to have my teeth looked at. Can anyone recommend a good dentist or dental clinic that I can visit?

I have been using the dental clinic in Bumrungrad hospital for the past 14 years.

Expensive for Thailand, but cheaper than USA and it is a first class service, with my front crown they replaced twice (FOC) because the color match was not perfect.

Parm 9 hospital dental clinic is also very good and the doctors are all speak English. But they are not touristy or expensive as Bumrungrad hospital and I like them better than Bumrungrad hospital

givenall, thanks for the input. where is the Parm 9 hospital dental clinic located? Do they have a website?

roiethome, AyG, I'll also check out the Bumrungrad dental clinic and the Asavant clinic. WHen you say that Bumrungrad is expensive for Thailand, can you estimate how much more expensive it is?

Depends on the type of crown and how much work has to be done, but I think it os around 15K THB per crown, but it is a first rate service and never had any issues with any of my dental work there.

The standard of dental care here is exceptional, so one of the major considerations could be convenience. Where will you be staying, and what's closest?

Thanks to everyone for your recommendations!

I often stay at the Sawsdee Sukhumvit Inn aat the end of Soi 57 when I'm in Bangkok. It's comfortable and not expensive. This time I'll be at the Tai Pan Hotel on Soi 23 with my family until Wednesday - but I can find my way to just about anywhere for the examination and the diagnosis of what's needed. If I have to stay past Wednesday that's probably where I'll be.
