Judge knifed after jilting his mistress

THONBURI: The chief judge of the Central Administrative Court was stabbed by his mistress late on Tuesday night after refusing her request to break off their relationship, police said.

Kusol Raksa, 53, checked into a hotel in Thon Buri's Bupharam area with Jaruwan Suna, 24, police said.

The couple later had a fight and the woman stabbed Mr Kusol and allegedly snatched his gold necklace and a gold-plated Buddha amulet. She was subdued by hotel staff.

Ms Jaruwan told police that after they had sex she had informed Mr Kusol she wanted to end their six-year relationship. He had strongly disagreed and a serious argument ensued.

She admitted stabbing him repeatedly but said she had not tried to rob him, police said. She just tried to grab her belongings and flee.

Mr Kusol was recovering in Thon Buri hospital from six knife wounds: two on his cheek and four on his hips and back.

Ms Jaruwan was being detained at Bupharam police station.
