Dealership Or Authorized Garage For Car Insurance?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've contacted several brokers and insurance companies for car insurance and recieved lots of quotations already. All brokers have sent similarly-priced options with the same basic distinction. The higher-priced policies stipulate repairs at the Dealership where I bought the car and the lower priced ones get the repairs done at an authorized garage. Before I purchase a policy, please can anyone explain: will non-dealership repairs affect the manufacturers warranty? if I choose the non-dealership policy will my car only be repaired there, even if the damage/accident wasn't my fault?

Thanks for any advice.

cheap non dealer repair insurances uses non original parts, if they use any parts at all. usually they knock and plaster, plaster very thick that is.

these garages are usually not qualified at all, and repairs can take ages.

dealership repair insurance is the only way to go in my opinion, is it like 10% more expensive?

when I have scratched my Vigo4x4s and Fortuner, Toyota dealer takes off plastic parts, hood hatches etc, repair and spray them and reinstall. Like building a new car, and no sign of repair/respray at all. The others keep parts on the car, tape and spray. easy spotted repair
