Aidan Hopkins, from Edenderry, Co Offaly, who was in his mid-40s and had been living in Thailand, was struck by a car on Wednesday when he was crossing a road.

He died in hospital yesterday.

may he rest in peace

RIP Aidan.

He started Paddy's Bar in Buriram and had a talent with etched/engraved pub mirrors/signs etc.

A colourful character, troubled at times, and not a nice way to go.

Where did this happen? I think I knew him. Pretty sure he did some work for me a few years ago.

RIP, very sad

Mid 40's is too young to go! R.I.P

As I understand it, it happened on the 24 road between Prakhonchai and Nong Rong - not far from where he lived.
