November 7, 201015 yr After watching my wife and her kids spend hours and only catching fish around 4-5" long, I was wondering if anyone has a successful way of catching something larger ( if larger fish do in fact exist). I live near 60kms south of Sisaket and we have a reasonable river that flow all year. What tackle does best? Live bait v lures?
November 7, 201015 yr I use lam and bread crumbs mixed with coconut milk and use in a coil feeder and have caught some good size fish. Live baits only ones i have used worms and baby goong had success to but not big fish. Never used a lure would like to try any recommendations for a lure to buy? I tend to just go to the fishing parks now at least there is fish there, the dams and lakes around here get dragged by nets so taking all the fish.

I'll try it when I get home in a couple of weeks. The kids bought lures from the local shops but they were quite cheap and they have not been able to catch anything as yet.

November 12, 201015 yr I wonder what sort of things get dumped in the water, and the impact that might have on someone eating the fish from such waters?

November 16, 201015 yr Try asking your Thai neighbours. I don't think the fish care whether or not the person who catches them is a Thai or a farang.
