Makita Retailer - Central Bangkok

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a retailer (other than Homepro) of Makita power tools and parts, ideally in the Panthip/Siam area, or within reach of a BTS station. Thanks.

There is a quality power tool/hand tool shop at the end of Sukhumvit 71 on the left hand side just before the bridge over the klong at Klong Tan. Near Peedee 45 I think. Can't remember the name. The BTS stop is Prakanong. A taxi from there will be about 45/50 baht depeding on trafic. The tools are all quality western imports, e,g makita, bosch, rigid etc.

The best place I have found for Makita is Krieng Thai Watana. It's near the Central on Rama 2 road so doesn't meet your location requirements but it is a very nice place. They have a big showroom packed with tools, prices much better than HomePro, good staff and what appeared to be a warehouse of stock and parts.

It's worth a taxi ride if you can't find anything close to you.

I buy more or less regular tools for my workshop. ChinaTown is my place to go. In the frontside shops of the roads you'll find mostly fake tools, cheap and bs. But if you have a look behind these front shops there are professional dealers of nearly all high quality branches and all kind of tools. Take your time to look around and compare the prices. The pricing for the high quality tools are not far from the prices in Europe but your tools will last so you needn't buy them again everytime after you worked with them.
