Road Fromsurat (Phun Pin) To Takuapa Or Kao Lak

Featured Replies

What's the condition, especially around Kao Sok, heard rumors about lots of sand on the road, is it safe to travel the road or would anybody with recent knowledge after the recent rain recommend taking the 44 from Surat to Krabi and than make my way to Kao Lak over the 4?

Am planning to travel this coming Tuesday, 16th November.

I recently rode my Road King from Phuket to Nong Bua Lamphu passing on this road in August. I saw nothing out of the ordinary. Although further east toward Phun Phin they are in various stages of widening the road and there is some construction going on but it was an easy pass.

I can't really say anything about after the recent rains.
