Poo-uh Noi

Recommended Posts

My wife sometimes goes to social events where lots of thai ladies go to gossip, eat food, etc. In a tipsy state recently she told me how many of these mainly married ladies take their boyfriends along with them! Of the 30 present on one occasion 21 were married to farangs and yet 12 had thai boyfriends. We are not talking about bar girls here but business women and housewives, the vast majority having never worked in a bar.

It seems that the main reason for having the poo-uh noi was not that they didn't care for their husband, but in the majority of cases the farang either worked too much, or was overseas a lot.

It just seems to me that a lot of thai women like this accessory, as they now want to show they have the same power to have one, as men have in the past.

Just thought it funny when some guys on the forum talk about coming to look for a "good girl" not a bar girl :o

Anybody have any thoughts?

I would say women have their need for companionship just as men do. If they miss it or don't get enough of it then they,as do men, will turn to alternatives to fill in the gap. Not surprised, but I guess the question of being faithful and the subject of the individual relationship and what it may lack may be an issue too.

Have you heard about the ladies onlt clubs in BKK? Ladies pay about 9oo baht and have a male escort all evening who can dance tango and really know how to treat a lady. The s__ word costs more obviously. I think women just want the odd flower, hug when least expecting it and appreciation where appropriate.

I am surprised to hear about Dragonman's wife's social club thing though cos most of the women who go to Ladies clubs are married to Thai men not farangs!!

I hope your Mrs isn't one of the 12 Dragonman :D I'd be thinking of changing her social group :o

I think this is the problem. These guys like to drink Sang Som and soda whilst waiting for their girlfriends. My wife is so mean she wouldn't even buy the soda! :D After 5 years I'm still waiting for her to buy me my first drink :D

The foreign guys may have come looking for a "good girl" but then not all office girls are good girls either. It takes a certain type of woman to have a "pui noi" when married I think - usually as a result of their past moral behaviour, the husband being uncaring or being away many months of the year.

Ladies will find some temporary fun at gay bars in Pattaya, Silom and mixed bars on Ratchada too. I've heard that the Honey Hotel bar in Sukhumvit is a haunt too. A friend of a friend, 28 year old office girl earning over 50,000 B per month and not bad looking loves going to Pattaya where nobody knows her to have her monthly dose of paid-for fun...which I think is astounding! The men must be good, that's all I can (jealously) say.
