Laser Surgery

Featured Replies

I went to see a Dermatologist in Korat, Thailand's second biggest city supposedly, and she said I need laser treatment. Unfortunately Thailand's second largest city doesn't have one. The treatment I need is for some warts to be removed. Due to my next appointment being a month away I've thought about going somewhere else but don't know where is recommended. Any recommendations from others who have had this course of treatment ? Thanks.

I would expect upcountry dermatologist would have other methods of removal available if laser is not available - but as a customer much prefer laser.

Painless and simple treatment but requires several post visits to be sure healing is taking place properly (but expect any dermatologist could take care of that). You can have shot for immediate removal or cream with about an hour wait. Actual removal is only a minute or two. Expect they may want to take sample first for pathology exam and that would only be available after a few days but expect could phone or send to your current doctor.

Now if you are talking a large number of non suspect warts (several hundred) that will take several hours and probably would not involve pathology and can be done at one time.

I expect any modern hospital in Bangkok would have laser equipment. I have used Vejthani several times over the last five years.

The Dermatologist said only a laser can do the job due to the location of where they are. My appointment next month is to check on their growth. The hospital is an hour and a half drive away which is too far for someone just to look. I may as well go to Bkk and have done with it once and for all. The warts are non suspect, by the way. I was hoping someone would come on and tell me they have a laser closer than Bkk. Maybe still will.
